What are the prerequisites for enrollment?

Students with a GED or High School Diploma are eligible for automatic enrollment.  Applicants who do not have either of these will need to take an enrollment test to ensure they qualify for enrollment and have the ability to benefit from our program.

How do I start the enrollment process for a new student?

To start the process please contact us to discuss which course you are interested in for your applicant and what start date you would like.  We can then provide you with a course recommendation with detailed course information and a customized timeline for your applicant.  If your applicant does not currently have GED or High School Diploma then the first step would be to contact to set up an appointment for entrance testing.

When can a new student start?

We offer open enrollment, but we request our students start on a Monday.  You can pick the start date and we will send you a formal course recommendation with a course timeline based on your selected start date.                 

How do the Online programs work?

Our programs, with the exception of ESL, can be completed 100% online.  Our online programs still give our students unlimited access to our instructors.  We have daily contact with our students and through remote assistance we can provide one on one training sessions, answer questions and keep students moving forward.  Our training platform and time tracking method allows us to monitor daily progress for each student.  This enables us to see when they login, what they completed and the scores they obtained for each assignment.

Will students need equipment to complete their program?

The equipment and supplies needed to complete the program will be outlined in the formal recommendation.  We will provide them with a bundle that includes laptop, ergonomic keyboard and mouse and laptop carrying case. This with give them everything they need for program completion.  This equipment will be the latest model laptops and will be set up with the current version of Microsoft Office software.  Equipment will be delivered to the student by one of our staff members on their start date.  Once the student completes the program, they will get to keep the equipment.   If for any reason their program is not complete, the equipment will be returned to us as outlined by L&I guidelines.  Students will need a high-speed internet connection prior to their start date.  Internet is not part of the equipment bundle but we can assist you in getting that set up if needed.

What can a student expect on their scheduled start date and during their program?

Online Students: One of our staff members will meet with the student at their location on the first day.  This will allow us to deliver the equipment, ensure they are hooked to the internet and get them oriented in the daily process.  The student will also be introduced to their instructor through our online platform and remote assistance.  We are in daily contact with throughout their program.  When students need assistance, they can call or email their instructor for help.  If the instructor is not immediately available, they will answer their request usually within a 15-minute time frame.

Classroom Students: Our classroom students will receive their equipment package on their first day. Classroom students have access to an instructor at all times.

 Will I receive reports regarding the student’s progress?

Our Vocational Counselors have access to our classroom and instructors at all times.  We will provide you with attendance records, monthly progress reports and you will be notified if any challenges should arise with the student’s progress.  We are here to assist you with your information requests at any time.

 Do you have employment placement assistance?

As your applicants get close to the completion of their program, we will begin the process of preparing resumes, cover letters and learning interviewing tactics.  We will assist students by providing employment postings and assist them through the process of applying.  We will even contact employers on their behalf. We will continue assisting them through the job search progress even after they have completed the program when needed.

 Will the student receive a certificate for the courses they have completed? 

Student who successfully complete the program will be awarded a certificate of completion.  Students who are interested in Microsoft Certifications can also be assisted through the certifying process by our instructors.
